The official website for Kenji Murakami’s upcoming film ALLDAYS: Nichome no Asahi just got re-shuffled and added a trailer (and i mean just… things are being added to the site as I type this). The movie’s title is a play on the 2005 smash hit Always: San-chome no Yuhi (Always: Sunset on Third Street) and will focus on life in the 1950s in Ni-chome - Shinjuku’s gay ward. Release is scheduled for February 2nd.

Yuki Tanada’s “1.000.000 Yen Girl” (aka Hyakuman-en to Nigamushi Onna), starring Yu Aoi now has an official website with a really nice looking trailer. In the movie, which is tentatively planned for release around August, Aoi plays a 21-year-old Junior college graduate who is involved in an incident which gets her arrested. After the dust settles she’s left with a one million yen bill (about 9,300 USD). She travels from town to town working part-time jobs to scrounge up the cash.
I’ve highlighted and circled the spot you need to click on the site to see the trailer in the image below:

The official website for Yukihiko Tsutsumi’s “Sushi King Goes to New York” recently added 2 new longer trailers to go with the original confusing 40 second tease they had up before. The good news is the movie looks really good. The bad news is the trailers do not. I have to wonder why a company like TV Asahi can’t figure out how to compress video properly. Oh well, it’s all we have for now… so check ‘em out!
The movie will be released on April 19th.

The new stylejam subsite for Ryo Iwamatsu’s Then Summer Came (first mentioned by ryuganji) is up and with it comes some new info. The official English title is translated from the original working title, “Soshite Natsu ga Kita” and not the current Japanese title “Shiawase no Tamio” (Tamio’s happiness).
Plot: Tamio (Joe Odagiri) and his father Nobuo (Yoshio Harada) are a completely irresponsible pair who are stuck in the rut of their own roles of parent and child. With Tamio’s wedding on the horizon both men go through tremendous, and occasionally misguided efforts to make the event special.
Cast: Joe Odagiri, Kumiko Aso, Yoshio Harada, Shinobu Otake, Suzuki Matsuo, Manami Fuji, Kiyoshiro Imawano, Kaoru Kobayashi, Noriko Eguchi, Eri Ishida, Tetsushi Tanaka, Ken Mitsuishi
Theatrical release is planned for this summer, with music production handled by jazz punk band Katteni-Shiyagare.
