Today a new making-of video was released for Takeshi Kitano’s Outrage Beyond, the upcoming sequel to 2010’s Outrage.
In the new film, Sanno-kai—the major yakuza organization within the Kanto region and the main focus of the first film—butts heads with Hanabishi-kai from the Kansai region as police try to take them all down. Kitano (credited as Beat Takeshi as an actor), returns as crew boss and all-around dirty-job-doer Otomo, who was assumed dead at the end of the first movie.
The clip is split into 2 parts. The first part is titled “Otomo’s release” and shows Otomo exiting jail alongside crooked police detective Kataoka (Fumiyo Kohinata). New cast member Yutaka Matsushige is also in the scene as a detective named Shigeta.
The second part is titled “Kansai - Hanabishi-kai” and features two leaders of Hanabishi-kai, Nishino (Toshiyuki Nishida) and Nakata (Sansei Shiomi), alongside Chairman Fuse (Shigeru Koyama).
“Outrage Beyond” will be released by Warner Bros. in Japan on October 6, 2012.

Today more cast members were announced for Miwa Nishikawa’s next film Yume Uru Futari. The new additions are Yusuke Iseya, Teruyuki Kagawa, and Tsurube Shofukutei.
Kagawa has previously worked with Nishikawa in both Sway and Dear Doctor, the latter of which starred Shofukutei.
Although Iseya hasn’t appeared in any of her films, they did work together on the set of Distance in 2001 when she was Hirokazu Kore-eda’s assistant director.
Today also saw the release of a new poster for the film. It features the two main stars—Sadao Abe and Takako Matsu—looking particularly shell-shocked with a small tagline under them which translates to something like “Humanity’s greatest enigma, man and woman”.
In the film, their characters are a married couple who conspire to commit marriage fraud. The targets of their scam are played by Lena Tanaka, Sawa Suzuki, Tae Kimura, Tamae Ando, and Yuka Ebara,
Additional co-stars include Kyosuke Yabe, Koichi Ohori, Kana Kurashina, Kanji Furutachi, and Katsuya Kobayashi.
Thanks to the poster, we now know that Asmik Ace Entertainment will be releasing “Yume Uru Futari” in Japan on September 8, 2012.

The official website for Kazuyuki Izutsu’s Ōgon wo Daite Tobe has been relaunched with a new teaser trailer. Note: I have no idea if “Fly With the Gold” is the actual English title or just a literal translation they’re slapping on things because they think it looks cool. The latter happens a lot.
The film stars Satoshi Tsumabuki as Koda, a supplier for radical extremists and criminals who’s approached by an old university friend named Kitagawa (Tadanobu Asano) with a plan to steal 1.5 billion yen in gold bars from a vault under the main branch of Sumida Bank.
Kitagawa puts together a team consisting of a banking system engineer named Noda (Kenta Kiritani), a foreign spy posing as an engineering exchange student named Momo (Changmin of TVXQ), Kitagawa’s younger brother Haruki (Junpei Mizobata), and a former elevator technician called Jiichan - literally “Grandpa” (Toshiyuki Nishida). After some further planning, the six men enact their daring plan.
You can also go here for some behind the scenes footage of Tsumabuki and Asano casing the bank back in February.
“Ōgon wo Daite Tobe” will be released by Shochiku in Japan in November 2012.

The official website for Hajime Hashimoto’s Rinjo has been updated with a new 60-second trailer.
The film continues the 2-season drama which aired on TV Asahi in 2009 and 2010. Masaaki Uchino returns as Yoshio Kuraishi, a coroner with the Metropolitan Tokyo Police Department who has a knack for understanding the evidence at a crime scene.
In 2010, a man went berserk with a knife in the Kichijōji area of Tokyo, killing 4 and injuring 15. After psychological testing, he was pronounced innocent by reason of insanity.
In the present day, the lawyer and psychiatrist responsible for getting the man released are found murdered in Tokyo and Kanagawa, respectively. Police immediately suspect the families of the massacre victims and eventually narrow it down to one obvious choice, but for Kuraishi, this conclusion just doesn’t fit the evidence. Against the strong objections of the lead investigator, he continues own investigation to uncover the truth behind the deaths.
“Rinjo” will be released by Toei in Japan on June 30, 2012. The international sales title is “The Last Answer”.
