Batten down the hatches! It’s the first teaser for Sabu’s ‘The Crab Cannery Ship’!

Jason Gray called it, Sabu’s The Crab Cannery Ship (Kanikosen) now has a teaser trailer, and it is indeed very Sabu.
The film is based on a 1929 novel by Takiji Kobayashi, which was previously adapted by actor/director So Yamamura in 1953. In this incarnation, Ryuhei Matsuda stars as an overworked sailor on a crab cannery ship who incites other workers to mutiny against their oppressive captain and the company they’ve been exploited by. Hidetoshi Nishijima and Hirofumi Arai also star.
