Second trailer for Masahiro Muramatsu’s “Slackers”

The second trailer is out for "Slackers", a high school delinquent comedy by Masahiro Muramatsu. Muramatsu previously directed "Synch", which won the Pia Film Festival grand prize in 1997, and "Basic Tsukamoto", a 2003 documentary about director Shinya Tsukamoto.

Slackers revolves around two childhood friends, Tomu (Tokio Emoto) and Hiroshi (Ryu Morioka), who had dreams of playing baseball but got stuck at a high school full of slacker yankees. When they get busted for smoking, they're given one last chance to avoid expulsion: revive the school's once-proud baseball program and impress an Enka singer alumnus enough to convince him to create a new school song to improve the school's image.

You can find the first teaser and trailer here.

"Slackers" will open in Japan on 5/30
