Jackson Rathbone (left) Varg Vikernes (right)Sion Sono is set to film his upcoming English-language film adaptation of Michael Moynihan and Didrik Soderlind’s book, “Lords of Chaos”, in mid-September—a few months later than was initially rumored.

And who will be playing Varg Vikernes (aka Count Grishnackh), the far-right-wing black metal fanatic who burned down 3 churches and brutally stabbed Mayhem guitarist Øystein Aarseth (aka Euronymous) 23 times in the Summer of 1993? That would be Jackson Rathbone: Jasper Hale in the Twilight films and Sokka in M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming live-action adaptation of The Last Airbender.

The film will be shot on location in Norway, which could be a little scary considering Vikernes was released from prison this past March after serving 16-years for Aarseth’s murder. Let’s just hope the Count’s stabby days are behind him.

I love the last sentence, if he were to stab someone now, then he could change his black metal persona to Stabby McStabberton.

Euronymus deserved it, he attacked Varg. Varg defended himself, and went to prison for it. Long live Burzum.
