Sion Sono is set to film his upcoming English-language film adaptation of Michael Moynihan and Didrik Soderlind’s book, “Lords of Chaos”, in mid-September—a few months later than was initially rumored.
And who will be playing Varg Vikernes (aka Count Grishnackh), the far-right-wing black metal fanatic who burned down 3 churches and brutally stabbed Mayhem guitarist Øystein Aarseth (aka Euronymous) 23 times in the Summer of 1993? That would be Jackson Rathbone: Jasper Hale in the Twilight films and Sokka in M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming live-action adaptation of The Last Airbender.
The film will be shot on location in Norway, which could be a little scary considering Vikernes was released from prison this past March after serving 16-years for Aarseth’s murder. Let’s just hope the Count’s stabby days are behind him.
