A HD trailer for A Life, the collaboratively-directed adaptation of Kotoro Isaka’s 2002 novel, has been uploaded to YouTube. See this link for my initial write-up on this one from back in February.

Isaka’s novels have been the basis for 5 movies by 4 different established directors since 2006, but this time around he gave his blessing to a group of young directors from the Graduate School of Film and New Media of Tokyo University of the Arts to adapt his work.

The story involves a variety of characters whose lives become intertwined in various unexpected ways—a recurring theme in Isaka’s novels—and stars Masato Sakai, Shinobu Terajima, Tasuku Emoto, and Itsuji Itao.
