The teaser is out for Cyborg Girl (Boku no Kanojo wa Cyborg), directed by Jae-young Kwak of “My Sassy Girl” fame. Even though production company Amuse hired a Korean director to head the project, this is an entirely Japanese movie and was filmed in Japan with a Japanese cast. Here’s the premise: One day a dull university named Jiro (Keisuke Koide) meets a cyborg from the future (Haruka Ayase). They begin to like each other, but since she can’t truly feel emotions he angrily tells her to leave. Eventually, an earthquake hits Tokyo and she saves Jiro’s life, fulfilling her purpose while also triggering unforeseeable events in the future timeline.

Director Minoru Kawasaki (The World Sinks Except Japan, Executive Koala, The Calamari Wrestler) held a press conference yesterday for his upcoming kaiju parody Monster X Strikes Back: Attack the G8 Summit (Girara no Gyakushuu / Toyako Summit Kiki Ippatsu).
