In Always: Sunset on Third Street 2 (Always - Zoku San-chome no Yuhi, 2007), Chagawa (Hidetaka Yoshioka) finds it difficult to support Junnosuke (Kenta Suga) and is afraid Junnosuke’s rich father will swoop in and take him away. To avoid this, Chagawa attempts to win the “Akutagawa-sho” literary award for the prize money. Meanwhile, a 7-year-old spoiled rich girl named Mika is left with the Suzukis, but her attitude changes when she sees her cousins working hard around the house. Mutsuko (Maki Horikita) is still working as a mechanic and her boyfriend Takeo is studying cooking. Eventually Chagawa starts looking for Hiromi (Koyuki), who is back working as an exotic dancer under the stage name “Betty”.
