When a bar hostess is informed that her recently-deceased mother isn’t actually dead, but instead traveled back in time to prevent an economic disaster she throws on a wet suit and jumps into a washing machine equipped with time-travel capability to retrieve her. She lands in 1990 and is immediately bombarded with the cultural differences between then and current-day Japan such as fashion, technology, and the universal economic confidence at the time. In the end it becomes apparent that you can’t change the past no matter how much you’d like to.
