Burst City (Bakuretsu Toshi, 1982) is Sogo Ishii’s 1982 rock ‘n’ roll sci-fi offering featuring a dystopian future in which rival biker gangs fight against construction of a power plant being built in their territory of Tokyo. Region 1, NTSC, anamorphic widescreen. Japanese stereo audio with English subtitles. Includes special insert by Tom Mes, background on “Burst City”, soundtrack lyrics, about see saw, stills gallery, and trailers.
