DVD release - Cobalt Blue [Premium Edition] (Bandai Visual) available on November 25, 2009

Japanese distributor Bandai Visual will be releasing Yosuke Nakagawa’s Cobalt Blue (Gunjou Ai ga Shizunda Umi no Iro, 2009) on DVD with English subtitles this November.

Based on a story by Ayako Miyagi, the plot involves a young Okinawan woman named Ryoko (Masami Nagasawa) who falls into a deep despair when her fiancé dies in a diving accident. As she deals with the shock and depression caused by her sudden loss, her father Daisuke (Kuranosuke Sasaki) attempts to help her through the grieving process.

Region 2, NTSC, 16:9 anamorphic widescreen, DVD-9, 2 discs. Japanese audio with selectable English subtitles (main movie only). Features include theatrical trailer and TV spots. Bonus disc includes making-of footage, trailer comments, and more. Also included: 36-page booklet.
