DVD release - Female Yakuza Tale: Inquisition and Torture (Synapse Films) available on November 23, 2009

US distributor Synapse Films will be re-releasing Female Yakuza Tale: Inquisition and Torture (Yasagure Anego Den: Sokatsu Rinchi, 1973) in November. The film was previously released by now-defunct Panik House Entertainment in 2005.

Plot: In this sequel to Sex and Fury, badass gambler and thief Reiko Ike (Ocho Inoshika) is joined by a drifter (Ryohei Uchida) as she hunts down a gang of thugs with a penchant for murdering people via brutal attacks to the crotch. The gang has been using the nether regions of prostitutes to smuggle heroin into Japan from China. Because of this exploitation, Reiko and her new companion are able to recruit a small army of sword-wielding hookers who are hellbent on vengeance against the nasty criminal kingpin who’s responsible.
