In Gonin (1995), a team of five men plot to steal money from the yakuza, but their plan quickly unravels and they end up on the run from hitmen themselves.

In Gonin 2 (1996), gangsters track down loyal family man Masamichi Toyama to collect a large gambling debt, and in the process beat him and rape his wife. Obsessed with vengeance, he makes his own sword and sets out to kill the men responsible. Along the way he crosses paths with the Gonin, a group of five female thieves who have the ring he wants to get back for his wife. [Watch trailer]
