Ichigo no Kakera - Amuse Soft Entertainment

In Ichigo no Kakera, aka “Ichigo Chips” (2005), manga author Ichigo (Aki Kajiwara) has been incapable of repeating the success of her first work, “Cherry Road”, a semi-autobiographical manga which ends with the death of the main character’s love interest in a motorcycle accident. When she’s involved in a near-fatal accident herself, she suddenly finds herself at a beach house where she’s reunited with the former love on which the “Cherry Road” story was based. Of course this can’t be real, because he died years ago—but when she awakens in a hospital bed she gets inspired to write a follow-up to her popular manga.
