DVD release - Kamui: The Lone Ninja (Manga Entertainment UK) available on August 9, 2010

Early this year, it was announced that UK label Manga Entertainment would be releasing Yoichi Sai's Kamui: The Lone Ninja, a live-action adaptation of Sanpei Shirato’s classic manga series, on DVD and Blu-ray this August. Recently, retailer listings revealed details of these releases.

Plot: Born into a ninja clan, Kamui (Kenichi Matsuyama) is expected to live and die as a ninja. However, he desperately longs for freedom and risks his life to escape. Now under constant threat from assassins sent from his former clan, Kamui has no choice but to spend his life on the run. trusting no one and forming no friendships. However, this changes when he meets a fisherman named Hanbei (Kaoru Kobayashi) and his family.
