Karaoke Terror: The Complete Japanese Showa Songbook

Based on the novel by Ryu Murakami, Karaoke Terror tells the story of an absurdly brutal war that quickly escalates between two factions of karaoke patrons. The Midoris are a group of obnoxious middle-aged women all named Midori who show up at karaoke every two weeks to pick up young men. One night one of these young men (Masanobu Ando) kills one of the Midoris for balking at his offer of sex. Determined to get revenge on the young man and his group of ne’r-do-well 20-something friends (the Gakis), the Midoris strike back hard and thus begins an absurd battle where each side ramps up their armaments exponentially each round.
