Ten years after her debut as a highly-successful author, Reiko (Miki Nakatani) has recently been suffering from a bad case of writer’s block and can’t seem to recapture the passion she originally had for her writing. One day she decides to move to a quiet village for inspiration. One of her neighbors, an archaeologist named Yoshioka (Etsushi Toyokawa), recently excavated a 1,000-year-old mummy which he has stolen from his college to keep them from showing it at a museum. He asks Reiko to watch it for him, and strange things begin happening around her.
