Written and directed by Masashi Yamamoto, Man, Woman, and the Wall tells the story of Ryo (Keita Ono) as he realizes he can hear his apartment neighbor Satsuki (Sola Aoi) through a thin shared wall. He perfects his eavesdropping with the help of an electronic listening device and as his obsession grows Satsuki begins to get terrorizing dirty phone calls from a mysterious high-pitched stranger. Whenever this happens, however, her lover shows up in the nick of time in order to protect her—usually leading to a gratuitous sex session. The man’s methods and motives eventually become clear to both the viewer and Ryo as Satsuki remains completely oblivious to the lengths these two men will go in order to be closer to her. Anamorphic, Region 1, NTSC, widescreen. Japanese audio with English subtitles. Features include trailers and a “making of” featurette.
