In The Fearless Avenger (Mushukunin Mikogami no Jokichi: Kawakaze ni Kako wa Nagareta, 1972), Jokichi’s lust for vengeance causes him to attempt to assassinate the evil gangster Chogoro. He gets captured, but luckily for him he picked a day when bloodshed is not an option and his life is spared by Boss Juzaburo. Another boss, Umezo, enlists Jokichi’s services as a bodyguard, but the mission leads him into a deadly trap and the clutches of Chogoro. [Watch trailer]

In Slaughter In The Snow (Mushukunin Mikogami no Jokichi: Tasogare ni Senko ga Tonda, 1973), Jokichi has caused enough carnage throughout the yakuza ranks that a heavy price has been put on his head. Kobunji, a master of knife throwing can’t resist the mission even though he secretly respects Jokichi. The two men actually seem to get along when they finally meet, but in the end a mission is a mission, and a final battle to the death is inevitable. [Watch trailer]
