In Origin: Spirits of the Past (Gin-iro no Kami no Agito, 2006), a young boy named Agito (Ryo Katsuji) enters a forbidden sanctuary where he finds a strange glowing machine. The machine preserves the life of a young girl named Toola (Aoi Miyazaki), who has been entrusted with a vital mission from the past. 300 years ago, destructive events caused by the interference of humanity have almost completely destroyed the environment. Now humans are at odds with plant-like “druids” that will do anything to protect their world from the meddling humans. Toola and Agito must examine the past to discover the origin of life and unite mankind with the forest once again.
Region 1, NTSC. Japanese and English-dubbed audio with selectable English subtitles.
