Detective Yoshioka (Koji Yakusho) is stressed, overworked, and haunted by the image of a woman in a red dress. As he investigates a series of killings in which the victims are drowned, his mounting depression and spotty memory allow him to believe that he himself might be the killer he’s been searching for.
