From the DVD Times comes word that UK distributor 4Digital Asia will be releasing Kengo Kaji’s Samurai Princess (Samurai Purinsesu: Gedo-hime, 2009) on DVD this November at the suggested retail price of £14.99.
The film is set in an alternate universe in which feudal Japan is populated by both humans and mechanical dolls. When these dolls begin slaughtering the human population, a mad scientist named Kyoraku creates a female ninja version (played by adult video idol Aino Kishi) with 11 types of built-in weapons. Teamed up with a human companion (Dai Mizuno), the nearly indestructible android puts these weapons to use against the other dolls to save humanity.
