In The Family Game (Kazoku Gemu, 1983), Ichirota Miyagawa plays the lazy, underachieving son of a wealthy family named Shigeyuki Numata. When he meets his no-nonsense tutor Yoshimoto (Yusaku Matsuda), he’s forced to shape up in order to get accepted to a good school. However, it soon becomes apparent that Yoshimoto’s teaching is not over as he masterminds one final lesson for the Numata family.
Region 1, NTSC, full screen aspect ratio, encoded from HD master, DVD-9. Japanese mono audio with selectable English subtitles. Disc includes Geneon USA trailers.
