Vexille: Special Edition - Funimation

In 2077, 10 years after Japan withdrew from the world stage to pursue advancements in illegal cyborg technology, an evil corporation called Daiwa Heavy Industries has been gradually augmenting humans with cyborg technology until their humanity has been all but completely stripped away. A mecha pilot named Vexille (Meisa Kuroki) joins a raid that investigates the ruins of Tokyo to discover what sort of threat Daiwa technology poses to the rest of the world. As one can imagine, it’s a pretty big threat, so Vexille and her team begin the assault on Daiwa’s island compound with the aid of the few Japanese citizens that still have some humanity left intact.
