Featured Cast:

2LDK is a Japanese movie written and directed by Yukihiko Tsutsumi. It premiered at the Philadelphia International Film Festival on April 11, 2003.

The film was made as part of a friendly competition between Tsutsumi and Ryuhei Kitamura, who had discussed the concept at a hotel bar in Colgone Germany while in town for the CineAsia Film Festival. They each agreed to make a film within 7 days starring 2 actors confined to a single set. Kitamura made Aragami: The Raging God of Battle and Tsutsumi made 2LDK, which is a standard abbreviation in Japan for “Bedroom, Living Room, Dining Room, and Kitchen”. The two films are now collectively referred to as “The Duel Project”.

The film stars Eiko Koike and Maho Nonami as roommates and aspring actresses Nozomi and Lana. When the two of them are up for the same role, their patience with each other gradually wears off and mild annoyance escalates into a final showdown of extreme violence utilizing an arsenal of common household objects.
