Akira Kurosawa

Akira Kurosawa was an prolific Japanese filmmaker. He was born on March 23, 1910 in Shinagawa, Tokyo and died on September 6, 1998.

Over the span of his 50-year career, he garnered international acclaim and a plethora of awards, including a special Academy Award in 1990 “For cinematic accomplishments that have inspired, delighted, enriched and entertained worldwide audiences and influenced filmmakers throughout the world”.
