All Around Us is a Japanese movie written and directed by Ryosuke Hashiguchi. It was released by Bitters End on June 7, 2008.
In the early 90s, tightly-wound publishing company employee Shoko (Tae Kimura) gets married to an easy-going guy named Kanao (Lily Franky), who takes a job as a courtroom sketch artist.
The trials Kanao witnesses represent the worst humanity has to offer—from an elementary school stabbing to a mass murdering cult.
Meanwhile, Shoko is deeply depressed after losing her their baby soon after it was born. Between the things he hears in the courtroom and the declining mental state of his wife, Kanao is struggling to cope. Over time, the couple gradually tries to find a path to happiness together.
