Arata Iura is a Japanese actor and fashion model. He was born on September 15, 1974 in Tokyo. He made his debut in Hirokazu Kore-eda’s 1999 film After Life, which also marked his first starring role.
Iura went by the stage name ARATA until January 2012. Having recently filmed “Mishima”, in which he portrays the late author and fierce nationalist Yukio Mishima, he reportedly felt being billed in alphabetic characters in the end credits would not look appropriate.
