Bandage is a Japanese movie written by Shunji Iwai and directed by Takeshi Kobayashi. It was initially supposed to be directed by Ryuhei Kitamura sometime in 2006, but plans fell through and the project was shelved until 2008 when Iwai hand-picked Kobayashi, music composer for several of his own films, to direct. It was released by Toho on January 16, 2010.
Jin Akanishi (then a member of KAT-TUN) stars Natsu, lead singer of a Tokyo-based band called LANDS during the indie band boom of the 90s. The band is headed toward their major label debut, but as they get more successful tensions rise and their relationships fall apart. Kie Kitano plays Asako, a high school girl who becomes the band’s manager through an unexpected series of events and witnesses all of their trials and tribulations.
