Detective Story (2007)

Detective Story is a Japanese original video release directed by Takashi Miike and written by Tsutomu Shirado. It got a limited theatrical release by Media Works in Japan on September 27, 2007 before hitting DVD on December 25th of that year.

In the film, a businessman named Raita (Claude Maki) and his bizarre P.I. neighbor, also named Raita (Kazuya Nakayama), investigate a series of killings in which the victims are relieved of various organs.

Together they track down a mysterious painter (Yuya Uchida) who’s been known to use unorthodox painting supplies.
