DOG x POLICE: The K-9 Force is a Japanese movie directed by Go Shichitaka and based on a story by Yoichi Komori. It was released by Toho in Japan on October 1, 2011.
Hayato Ichihara stars as Yusaku Hayakawa, an action-first street cop who’s full of ambition and determined to make detective. However, it seems his career has hit a snag when he’s demoted to a dog training unit after he violates procedure by chasing down a suspect at the scene of a bombing.
Yusaku initially clashes with his new teammates, especially trainer Natsuki (Erika Toda), but over time he decides to make the best of his situation by training a dog named Shiro. Working with his new team and Shiro, he gets on the trail of a mad bomber who’s been getting more brazen with each attack.
