Golden Slumber (2010)

Golden Slumber is a Japanese movie directed by Yoshihiro Nakamura and based on a novel by Kotaro Isaka. It was released by Toho in Japan on January 30, 2010.

The film follows a man named Aoyagi (Masato Sakai) who unwittingly gets drawn into a vast conspiracy and must both trust and depend on an unusual group of companions to help him through it.

When Aoyagi is contacted by an old friend out of the blue, an explosion occurs nearby and the friend—seemingly fully aware of what is happening—tells him to run for it.

The Prime Minister has been assassinated by a bomb and for some reason, Aoyagi is the prime suspect. Completely confused, he runs for his life. Eventually, he makes contact with a few people who become his surrogates in figuring out what exactly is going on.
