Grotesque (2009)

Grotesque is a 2009 torture gore film directed by Koji Shiraishi. It was distributed by Jolly Roger and got a limited theatrical release in Japan from January 17-23, 2009.

AV actress Tsugumi Nagasawa and actor Hiroaki Kawatsure star as a young couple who are captured, tortured, and sexually mutilated by a man they don’t know.

UK distributor 4Digital Asia planned to release the film on DVD with English subtitles on September 21, 2009, but it was banned by the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) on the grounds that giving it a rating would involve a ‘‘risk of harm’’ to those viewing it.
