Hana and Alice (2004)

Hana and Alice is a Japanese movie written and directed by Shunji Iwai. it was released by Toho in Japan on March 13, 2004.

In the film, junior high school students Hana (Anne Suzuki) and Alice (Yu Aoi) are childhood friends who eventually attend the same school as a boy Hana likes named Miyamoto (Tomohiro Kaku) who Hana has a crush on.

When Miyamoto is involved in an accident and suffers from amnesia, Hana decides to take advantage of the situation by telling him he had previously confessed his love her her. To keep the ruse going, she’s forced to come up with a series of lies that pile up on one another.

To complicate matters further, Miyamoto is starting to develop a crush on Alice, leading to resentment between the friends.
