Into the White Night is a Japanese movie directed by Yoshihiro Fukagawa and based on a mystery novel by Keigo Higashino which was originally serialized in the Shueisha literary magazine Shousetsu Subaru for two years from 1997.
The story was first adapted to a popular 11-episode TV drama in 2006 co-starring Haruka Ayase and Takayuki Yamada. For the film version, their characters are played by Maki Horikita and Kengo Kora.
The film was released in Japan by Gaga Communications in Japan on January 29, 2011.
