Ken Watanabe

Ken Watanabe is an Academy Award-nominated Japanese actor. He was born on October 21, 1959 in Koide, Niigata Prefecture. Watanabe has had a long and distinguished career in the Japanese film industry and has recently become well-known to western audiences for his English-speaking roles in several major Hollywood films such as The Last Samurai and Batman Begins.

Watanabe has been married to actress Kaho Minami since December 3, 2005. His son is actor Dai Watanabe and his daughter is model/actress Anne.
