KING GAME is a Japanese live-action movie directed by manga artist Tatsuya Egawa. It was released by Phantom Film at Shinjuku K’a Cinema on August 28, 2010.
The film revolves around a mystery game which requires participants to be locked in a room. A “king” is selected by random draw and that person gets to set certain rules other players must follow.
Ten players decide to play the game for ten days straight. Each player has been given a secret contract with aspects of the game that only they know about. Over time, the game’s rules change, and dark aspects of human nature is slowly revealed through their actions.
