The Kirishima Thing (2012)

The Kirishima Thing is a Japanese movie directed by Daihachi Yoshida and based on a novel by Ryo Asai. It was released by Showgate in Japan on August 11, 2012.

Ryunosuke Kamiki stars as a high school student named Ryoya Maeda, a member of the audio visual club who observes his class’s social structure quickly deteriorate when class leader Kirishima suddenly quits the volleyball team.

This move causes shock waves in the class as other students try to come to grips with his decision, leading to jealousy, misunderstandings, and irrational anger.
