Koshiro Matsumoto

Koshiro Matsumoto is a Japanese actor and kabuki performer. He was born on August 19, 1942 in Tokyo. His son is kabuki actor Somegoro Ichikawa (VII). His daughters are actresses Kio Matsumoto and Takako Matsu.

He previously went by the stage name Somegoro Ichikawa (VI), but took over his father’s name in 1981. He is now the 9th kabuki actor to use the Koshiro Matsumoto name in a list which includes his father (VIII) and grandfather (VII).
