300 Million is a Japanese movie directed by Shunya Ito and based on a crime novel by Shunsuke Nagase which revolved around the notorious 300 million yen robbery case. It was released by Kadokawa Pictures in Japan on July 3, 2010.
The film focuses on two detectives trying to solve the case. Katagiri (Dai Watanabe), is an energetic young detective who teams up with a grizzled veteran named Takiguchi (Eiji Okuda) who’s close to retirement.
Together, they investigate a murder that occurred by Sumida River, and soon discover that the victim was one of the suspects in the yet-unsolved 300 million yen robbery case.
