Maiko Haaaan!!! (2007)

Maiko Haaaan!!! is a Japanese movie directed by Nobuo Mizuta and written by Kankuro Kudo. It was released by Toho in Japan on June 16, 2007.

The film stars Sadao Abe as an office worker named Kimihiko Onizuka who breaks up with his girlfriend Fujiko (Kou Shibasaki), believing that he can only truly be happy with a Maiko (apprentice Geisha).

Onizuka travels to Kyoto to court a Maiko, but has trouble getting access to any of them due to his low social status. Meanwhile, the heartbroken-yet-determined Fujiko hatches a scheme to win him back by becoming a Maiko herself.
