Rei Dan

Rei Dan is a Japanese actress and television personality (mostly commercials, etc.). She was born Mayumi Yamazaki (山崎まゆみ / YAMAZAKI Mayumi) on August 4, 1971 in Shin’onsen, Mikata, Hyogo prefecture.

Her nicknames include Dan-chan (だんちゃん) and Mayumi (まゆみ). Her stage name is derived from the fact that the kanji character 「檀」 can be read as either Mayumi or Dan.

She married singer/actor Mitsuhiro Oikawa on July 27, 2011 after a year of dating.
