Sayaka Kanda

Sayaka Kanda (神田沙也加 / KANDA Sayaka) is a Japanese singer and actress. She was born on October 1, 1986 in Setagaya, Tokyo. She is the daughter of singer Seiko Matsuda and actor Masaki Kanda. She previously went by the stage name SAYAKA for her music career, but now uses her full birthname in kanji for all her work in the entertainment industry.

Her parents got divorced 1997, with her mother retained custody. There was consideration given to having her surname changed to her mother’s family name, Kamachi, but since she was enrolled in school already it was left as Kanda.
