Shuhei Fujisawa (藤沢周平 / FUJISAWA Shuhei) was a Japanese author. He was born Tomeji Kosuge (小菅留治 / KOSUGE Tomeji) on December 26, 1927 in Tsuruoka, Yamagata prefecture and died of liver failure on January 26, 1997.
Over 50 of Fujisawa’s books were published in total, with a few previously unpublished works coming out after his death. Several of his books were later adapted to highly successful jidaigeki films.
