Shun Sugata

Shun Sugata is a Japanese actor. He was born Masamichi Shibuya (渋谷昌道 SHIBUYA Masamichi) on February 17, 1955 in Yamanashi Prefecture. He is currently represented by T-Artist.

After graduating from college, Sugata quickly became a company employee, but he looked up to actors like Ken Takakura and Bunta Sugawara. Luckily, one of his high school teachers was poet and novelist Teruyo Takeuchi, who put in a good word with Toei producer Koji Shundo. Soon, Sugata began getting small roles in TV dramas and he has been working steadily in film and television ever since.
