My Rainy Days is a Japanese movie directed by Yuri Kanchiku and based on a mobile phone novel by “sin”. It premiered at the Tokyo International Film Festival on October 19, 2009 and was released by Gaga Communications in Japan on November 7, 2009.
The film stars Nozomi Sasaki as a high school student named Rio who has never been able to trust anyone, instead choosing to fill form only shallow relationships with people she can use. However, when she turns 17, she meets bookish university lecturer Koki (Shosuke Tanihara) and as she falls in love with him, she discovers he’s seriously ill and begins to rethink how she’s lived her life up to that point.
