Monkey Magic (2007)

Monkey Magic is a Japanese movie directed by Kensaku Sawada based on 16th century Chinese novel Journey to the West by Wu Cheng’en. It was released by Toho in Japan on July 14, 2007.

Also known as: The Adventures of Super Monkey

The film brings back the same cast from the drama version which aired on Fuji TV in 2006. Son Goku (Shingo Katori) and his traveling companions encounter a princess whose parents have been turned into turtles by two powerful demons. Never willing to pass up a good adventure, the foursome head to the mystical mountains to pick a fight.
