The Handsome Suit (2008)

The Handsome Suit is a Japanese movie directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa and based on an original screenplay by Osamu Suzuki. It was released by Asmik Ace Entertainment in Japan on November 1, 2008.

Muga Tsukaji stars as a kind-hearted diner chef named Takuro who has lots of friends but has never been considered attractive to the opposite sex. One day, a beautiful young girl named Hiroko (Keiko Kitagawa) begins working at the diner as a part-time employee. She is very kind to Takuro, giving him the confidence to blurt out his feelings. Unfortunately, he fumbles miserably in his attempt.

One day, Takuro is approached with an offer of a special suit that can make him instantly handsome simply by wearing it. Of course he jumps at the opportunity to change his appearance, and it works so well he begins working as a top male model named Annin (now played by Shosuke Tanihara). The suit is not without its flaws, however, and often short-circuits at the worst possible moments. When Takuro is given the choice of wearing a permanent version of the suit which can never be removed, he has a serious decision to make.
