Yakuza Weapon is a Japanese action movie directed by Tak Sakaguchi and Yudai Yamaguchi for Nikkatsu’s Sushi Typhoon label. It premiered at the Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival on February 27, 2011 and was released in Japan on July 23, 2011.

Yamaguchi plays Shozo Iwaki, a tough-nosed mercenary and ex-yakuza who returns to to Japan after four years living in overseas when he hears that his yakuza boss father (Akaji Maro) has died. Shozo soon discovers that his father was assassinated by his own top man, Kurawaki (Shingo Tsurumi), and lashes out in a blaze of vengeance.

The resulting battle leaves both men severely injured, with Shozo missing both his right arm and left leg. He later wakes up in a mysterious medical facility and finds his arm replaced with an M61 Vulcan cannon and his leg replaced with a rocket launcher. Meanwhile, Kurawaki has been fitted with mechanical augmentations of his own.

However, standing in the way of Shozo’s second chance at vengeance is his former best friend, Tetsuo (Jun Murakami), who’s younger sister Sumire (Cay Izumi) has been transformed into a “naked weapon” through a process similar to that undergone by Shozo and Kurawaki.
