Yuriko Yoshitaka is a Japanese actress. She was born on July 22, 1988 in Tokyo. Her nicknames include Yuririn (ゆりりん) and Yurishii (ゆりしー). She is currently represented by Amuse.
Yoshitaka made her debut in Shion Sono’s 2006 film, “Noriko’s Dinner Table”.
Sometime around September of 2007, she was involved in a car accident in which she fractured her jaw, forcing her to stay in the intensive care unity of a hospital for 5 days. However, while in the hospital, she got the news that she had won the audition for the lead role in Yukio Ninagawa’s adaptation of Hitomi Kanehara’s Akutagawa Prize-winning novel “Snakes & Earrings”. Although the role promised to be extremely demanding—requiring piercings, tattoos, and nudity—she reportedly gained some perspective and courage by comparing her brief 20-year existence to Earth’s 4.6 billion years and by putting all of her trust in Ninagawa’s direction.
